Gold Accents & Natural Light

Kitchen in Scarsdale, New York

We originally built the kitchen in this home in 2001, and the owners kept the plans, passing them along to the next buyers, who then passed them along to the current owners, who reached out to us to give the kitchen a refresh! The cabinets, unsurprisingly, were in beautiful shape after 20 years, but out client wanted a more modern look.

We kept the same footprint and updated the design with new white painted cabinets on the perimeter and a light grey island. The doors have recessed panel center with a thin frame around the edge. All of the hardware pulls are horizontal on the cabinets.

This kitchen includes a stainless steel refrigerator, flush-mounted double wall ovens, a Thermador range top and a microwave drawer. We created a custom hood, which is outfitted with a gold strip that plays off the cabinet hardware, the sink faucet and the pendant lights above the island.
